International Early Childhood Research

The Early Childhood Development University (ECDVU) is a multi-faceted approach to helping the early childhood leaders in Africa. The people who work with this organization have to be nominated and selected for their great work in the field. The research topics that are given must be qualified by having an interaction of knowledge and beliefs through indigenous and external factors. (ECDVU)

Some of the most researched topics regard the development of children who have become orphans. Another great topic is on supervision of children and the need to highlight the importance of early childhood education. The other majority of the articles involve parent interaction and the importance it has on their children.

This website was great because it shows what topics in the early childhood field are important in Africa that you would not see too much in America. Since every nation is different, their research and results will be different too.

  1. Hi Stephanie,

Like you I chose the website for (ECDVU)and I agree with you that they are a great organization with an equally great website. A website that is filled with many informative and relevant topics, such as the topic you mentioned in regards to the supervision of children and the importance of early childhood education all around the world.

    Great Job!

  2. Stephanie,
I love your blog and post on Africa. I visited this site and it appeared interesting. I heard once that there are over 2,000 different languages/dialects in Africa alone. Your post makes me want to revisit this site for some interesting topics in Africa.

  3. Stephanie,
Thanks for your blog about early childhood issues in Africa. I assume that the issue of helping orphans is a result of the AIDS epidemic in Africa? This is such a tragedy. Years ago I was involved (as a volunteer) with the Romanian Children's Fund. Helping orphaned children is not a topic that we have to think of much in this country but it remains a big problem in 3rd world countries.
